My name is Anthony Castellanos. I proudly served in the United States Navy. Serving in the military was by far the most challenging, enduring yet gratifying accomplishment of my life. During my military days, I had the privilege to go on several deployments overseas, serving our great nation.
After returning to civilian life, I joined the Federal Bureau of Prisons where I had the privilege to join the Bureau Battle Buddy (B3) program and rose to become one of the coordinators of this program. We provide direct support to Veterans returning home from overseas and worked as Bureau of Prisons’ employees.
The transition from the battlefield to home has in itself, many challenges. For the veterans returning to civilian life, among all the other adjustments, they are separated from the stressors inherent to a correctional environment.
As a co- founder of Warriors left behind and the Senior Vice Commander of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 7096, I am on the mission to be a part of something that could help military & veterans alike while they are overseas but also when they return home. It is the least I can do to make a difference to future and old veterans alike.
We can’t forget that today’s freedom is made by the sacrifices of many including their families. Warriors Left Behind defines the heights of professionalism and true patriotism by sharing with the nation, service-oriented businesses that will always stand for you and your needs.
